Adding external Meshnet devices on Android TV
Learn how to allow other NordVPN users' devices to access your device within Meshnet on Android TV.
To add an external device to your Meshent, send an invitation to the device’s owner:
- 1.On your Android TV device, open NordVPN and navigate to the Meshnet section.
- 2.Select Invitations, and then choose Link external device.
- 3.Enter the email address of the NordVPN user you’re inviting to have access to your Meshnet.
- 4.Review the invitation and choose if you want to allow or deny incoming connections from the invitee.
- 5.Select Send invitation.
Note
Ensure that the invitation is sent to a user you know and trust.
Tip
If needed, you can cancel the pending invitation by navigating to Invitations > Sent, selecting the invitation, and clicking Cancel invitation.
To finalize the linking, the invited user needs to accept the invitation in their NordVPN app.
- 1.On your Android TV device, open NordVPN and navigate to the Meshnet section.
- 2.Select Invitations and choose Received.
- 3.From the list, choose the desired invitation.
- 4.Select if you want to allow or deny incoming connections from the inviter’s device.
- 5.Select Accept and link devices.
If you have NordVPN installed on multiple devices, you need to accept the invitation on each device individually.
Note
The invitation stays active, allowing you time to accept it on all devices, and expires after 72 hours if not canceled earlier.
Upon accepting the invitation, both your device and the inviter's device join each other's external devices list. You can find the newly linked device in Devices > External devices.
