# Adding external Meshnet devices on macOS

To add an external device to your Meshnet:

1. In your NordVPN app, select Meshnet<img src="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2FxvxRyVglOq64BS4ArUK6%2Fmeshnet.svg?alt=media&#x26;token=accf346d-0d36-420d-a965-52ff921bb889" alt="" data-size="line">.
2. In the **Meshnet** tab, click **Link external device** at the bottom of the pane.
3. Enter the email address of the NordVPN user you're inviting to have access to your Meshnet.
4. Select the permissions you want the user’s device to have.&#x20;

5. Click **Send invitation**.

**Tip**

You can cancel the invitation while it is still pending by going to **Meshnet**![](https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2FxvxRyVglOq64BS4ArUK6%2Fmeshnet.svg?alt=media\&token=accf346d-0d36-420d-a965-52ff921bb889) > **Invitations** and clicking the Cancel (x) button.

Invitations appear in the recipient's NordVPN app, under the **Invitations** tab.&#x20;

Once the invitee accepts the invitation, their device joins your external devices list.

If the invited user has NordVPN installed on multiple devices, they need to accept the invitation on each device individually.

**Note**

The invitation remains active even after the other user accepts it so that they have time to accept the same invitation on each of their devices.

If not canceled sooner, invitations expire within 72 hours from the time of sending.
