  • The device is connected to your Meshnet.

  • The are granted.

Note

You can add devices to your Meshnet in two ways, depending on device ownership:

  • To add your own device, just enable Meshnet on that device. See for details.

  • To add an external device, send an invitation via the NordVPN app with the owner's email. Ensure the invitation is accepted. See .

Receive shared files

Note

The file sharing feature on Android TV supports receiving files only, and not sending them.

Make sure that Meshnet is enabled on your device to receive the file transfer request from the sender.

  1. Have your sharer send the files.

  2. On your Android TV, open NordVPN.

  5. For single-file transfers, select Accept to save the files to your device’s storage.

For multi-file transfers, you may want to check the transfer's contents by selecting Review and then download by choosing Accept all.

If prompted, grant NordVPN permission to save files on your device.

Locate downloaded files

Transferred files are automatically placed in the system's default download directory with no option to change the destination manually. To locate the files you downloaded, do any of the following:

  • Navigate to your device’s default download location using a file manager.

Monitor and manage transfers

Cancel incoming transfers

To cancel a file download that is active or pending:

  1. Under File share, choose the transfer you want to cancel.

  2. Select Cancel transfer.

Clear your transfer history
