Access shared folders from iPhone/iPad

Learn how to access shared folders from an iOS/iPadOS device over Meshnet.

In this article, you will learn how to access another device's shared folder from an iPhone or an iPad.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have configured a shared folder on a desktop device. Refer to the following guides for detailed instructions:

Access shared folders

To connect to a shared folder from an iOS/iPadOS device:

  1. Copy the sharer's Nord name from the NordVPN app.

  2. Open the Files app and switch to the Browse section.

  3. In the upper-right corner, tap the More button and select Connect to server.

  4. In the Server field, paste the Nord name followed by a slash (/) and the shared folder name. Example

    secret.meerkat-pyrenees.nord/MeshnetFolder

  5. In the upper-right corner, tap Connect.

  6. Select Registered user and fill in the required username and password for accessing the shared folder.

  7. Tap Next.

The shared folder should now be visible in your Files app.

To access the folder at a later date, you can find it in Files, under the Shared section.
