Using Meshnet on iOS

Learn how to use Meshnet through the NordVPN application on your iOS device.

Before you begin

Verify that you have the following:

Enable Meshnet on iOS

To turn on Meshnet on your device, complete these steps:
  1. 1.
    Open NordVPN. Log in if necessary.
  2. 2.
    Tap the Meshnet
    tab at the bottom of the screen:

    Tap Turn on Meshnet.
  4. 4.
    If you get a notification asking for your permission to add VPN configurations, tap Allow to continue.
  5. 5.
    Tap Turn on once again if required. You should now see a message confirming that Meshnet is on. Your device is assigned a unique Nord name and a Meshnet IP address, both of which you can use to access the device from other linked devices.

Add your devices to Meshnet

You can add more of your devices to connect them over Meshnet. To do this:
  1. 1.
    Install the NordVPN app on the device you want to connect.
  2. 2.
    Log in to your NordVPN account.
  3. 3.
    Turn on Meshnet.
Once you enable Meshnet on your other devices, they should connect automatically.
Meshnet allows you to add up to 10 devices that use the same NordVPN account.

View your Meshnet device list

To view your list of devices, go to Manage devices > Your devices, as shown:

Alternatively, you can view a list of linked devices for each of your devices on the Nord Account website. To access this feature:
  1. 1.
    Log in to your Nord account dashboard.
  2. 2.
    Navigate to the NordVPN service.
  3. 3.
    Select View details.
  4. 4.
    Under Meshnet, select See your devices.

Remove linked devices from Meshnet

If you need to unlink your device from Meshnet, you have the option to do so from:
  • The NordVPN app
  • Your Nord Account dashboard

Unlinking devices via the app

To unlink your device from Meshnet, follow these steps:
  1. 1.
    Open NordVPN.
  2. 2.
    Tap Manage devices and find the device you want to disconnect under Your devices.
  3. 3.
    Do any of the following:
    • Swipe the device section left and tap the Unlink button that appears.

    • Swipe the device row left until you see an alert message.
  4. 4.
    Tap Unlink to confirm.

Unlinking devices via the Nord Account dashboard

  1. 1.
    Go to the Nord Account website and log in to your NordVPN account.
  2. 2.
    Locate Meshnet under Additional features and select See your devices.
  3. 3.
    Scroll down to the NordVPN service and select View details.
  4. 4.
    Under the device that you want to remove another device from, select See linked devices.
  5. 5.
    Tap Unlink device under the name of the device you want to remove.

    Confirm that you want to unlink the device by tapping Unlink.
Tip
To link the device back, restart Meshnet on the unlinked device.
