   &#x20;
3. Tap **Turn on**.
4. If you get a notification asking for your [permission to add VPN configurations](https://nordvpn.com/blog/ios-filtering-traffic-vpn/), tap **Allow** to continue.

   <div align="left"><figure><picture><source srcset="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2Fr47LQN2LcxgwLqsoEriX%2Fios_vpn_config_dark.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b64ffb12-cefa-445f-9cc4-20e66ae2103c" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2Fx0IVAu2ftwVCkMNAj5Vc%2Fios_vpn_config.png?alt=media&#x26;token=63e0602b-35b8-4f71-ac14-f77b1a485fdd" alt="&#x22;Allow&#x22; button highlighted in the &#x22;NordVPN would like to add VPN configurations&#x22; dialog." width="259"></picture><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

   &#x20;
5. Tap **Turn on** once again if required.

You should now see a message confirming that Meshnet is on. Your device is assigned a unique Nord name and a Meshnet IP address, both of which you can use to access the device from other linked devices.

<div align="left"><figure><picture><source srcset="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2FhKsQFiornLdsx6qYcQPY%2Fios_meshnet_details_dark.png?alt=media&#x26;token=4d0b0fe1-b01b-4b0e-b122-a96fdad75101" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2FaGLNSwe9hetXcjeHaRqI%2Fios_meshnet_details.png?alt=media&#x26;token=27839924-4f85-4d52-acbf-7c5c25373d91" alt="A &#x22;Meshnet is on!&#x22; sheet containing the device&#x27;s Meshnet details." width="346"></picture><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**

Nord names are unique, automatically assigned host names for all devices in Meshnet.

The format is `<username>-<mountain>.nord`, where `<username>` is the username of your Nord Account email address and `<mountain>` is the name of a mountain or mountain range. For example, `secret.meerkat-altai.nord`.

Additionally, you can [rename devices](https://meshnet.nordvpn.com/features/renaming-devices/ios) with custom nicknames for more convenient device management.
{% endhint %}

## Add devices to Meshnet <a href="#add-your-devices-to-meshnet" id="add-your-devices-to-meshnet"></a>

You can add devices to your Meshnet in two ways, depending on whether the device is your own or belongs to another NordVPN user.

### Add your own devices

To add more devices to your Meshnet, just install the NordVPN app on the devices you want to connect, log in with your account, and enable Meshnet. They will connect automatically.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**

Meshnet allows you to add up to 10 devices that use the same NordVPN account.
{% endhint %}

### Add trusted external devices

To add a device owned by another NordVPN user, send an invitation through the NordVPN app specifying their email address. As soon as they accept the invitation in their NordVPN app, their device becomes part of your Meshnet.

For detailed guidance on adding external devices, refer to [Adding external Meshnet devices on iPhone/iPad](https://meshnet.nordvpn.com/features/linking-devices-in-meshnet/adding-external-meshnet-devices-on-ios).

## Manage devices

To view your list of devices, go to **Manage devices** > **Your devices**, as shown:

<div align="left"><figure><picture><source srcset="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2FqDCMYH3vo0BlKPw2RsBM%2Fios_device_list_dark.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9d493f7b-4b23-4ce2-bf30-cdba362de77d" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://3559400189-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F0cTezbT2vN0lurEio8Z5%2Fuploads%2F5CLmMGi0YqcRaRb6JiIF%2Fios_device_list.png?alt=media&#x26;token=0bc33732-ff70-4d06-96a2-680fc48c19de" alt="Meshnet peer devices highlighted under the &#x22;Your devices&#x22; tab." width="375"></picture><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
