The Meshnet tab is missing on the app

In most cases, the missing Meshnet tab is caused by an out-of-date app version. This can occur when the app is installed from an older APK file or not updated via an app store, such as Google Play or Samsung Galaxy store. Other times, the problem may be caused by an internal app fault. However, the troubleshooting approach should be the same in both cases.


Reinstalling the NordVPN app ensures that the malfunctioning version is removed and the latest version with complete functionality is installed. Take the following steps to reinstall NordVPN:

  1. On your device, open Settings.

  2. Navigate to Apps and select NordVPN.

  3. Tap Uninstall to remove NordVPN from your device.

  4. Launch NordVPN and log in to your account.

You should now see the Meshnet tab located at the bottom of the screen.

Cannot access the host device's LAN while routing traffic

The Local network discovery setting on the Android NordVPN app affects local network access when routing traffic. While this option is enabled and traffic routing is active, the Android device can only access devices on its LAN, and any attempts to connect to devices on the host's network will fail. To gain access to the remote devices, you should disable the Local network discovery setting.


Take the following steps on your Android device to disable the Local network discovery option:

  1. Open NordVPN.

  2. Under VPN and security, tap Local network discovery.

  3. Turn off the Local network discovery toggle.
